The late Keith Green wrote a song entitled, "Jesus Commands Us To Go!". Keith died in a plane crash in July 1982. This previously unreleased album/song was released by his wfe, Melody, after his death in 1984. When I first heard the song(and the music/message of Keith Green), I've never forgotten it. It's more of an outcry against the church and our refusal to follow Jesus into missions choosing the pursuit of the "American Dream".
"Jesus Commands Us To Go"
Jesus commnads us to go,
but we go the other way,
So He carries the burden alone,
While his children are busy at play,
Feeling so called to stay.
Oh, how God grieves and believes that the world can't be saved,
Unless the ones He's appointed obeys,
His command and his stand for the world,
That He loves more than life.
Oh He died and he cries out tonight,
Jesus command us to go,
It should be the exception if we stay.
It's no wonder we're moving so slow,
When his church refuses to obey,
Feeling so called to stay.
I believe Jesus has commanded us to go. Period. The boundaries are the edges of the earth. From the neighbor across the street to the war torn lands of the Middle east. From the community kitchen in your area to the plains of Africa. To those that hurt in your town to the ice covered tundra of Antarctica...and every nook and cranny in between. We are to go and be the hands and feet of Jesus, serving others and proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ .
I strive to use money and resources contributed to God's Graffiti to be on mission with God. To go, serve and proclaim. So when you support me, you are investing in missions and the spreading of the gospel. Thank you!
MISSION UPDATE MISSION UPDATE MISSION UPDATE
I will be heading back to Zimbabwe in December, and the exciting part is my daughter Tori will be traveling with me on her first overseas adventure!!! We will be leaving December 25th and returning around January 7, 2013. We are heading to Gweru Zimbabwe with a team of college students from Murray State University(My daughter will be a new freshman as MSU in the fall.) Our focus will be minstering to college students in the Gweru area and helping them to establish a campus ministry and a Godly presence on their campuses.
We need your help and support. The truth is, traveling to Africa is costly. It is a God sized task from our end. Over the past couple of years, you, the church, have responded with amazing generousity and supported my mission adventures. We are asking for people to pray and for people to give. Any amount you give is used for our trip. Currently we need $5700 for us both. We have already recieved several contributions and we are praising God for every penny! He is so good and generous. We still have a long way to go, but we are confident that God will provide.
If you can help, you can send a check made payable to:
Murray First Baptist Church.
Put Tim & Tori Zim trip in the memo and on a post it note that accompanies the check and mail to:
Murray First Baptist Church

Murray KY 42071
or to me at:

If you send something to the church, could you drop me a note so we can put you on our 'partner' list. That way we can pray for you as well. If you send it to me(made out to the church) I will forward it onto Murray FBC.
Anthing that is collected over our amount will be shared with others on the team that need assistance in reaching their goal. I will keep everyone posted on our progress. I will use my site to keep everyone posted as well as my 'God's Graffiti' facebook page. I am currently working on some 'sponsorship packages' which will include merchandise and paintings from God's Graffiti.
Once again from Tori and myself...Thank You!!!!!!
Special thanks to our partners...1stSB, BMHS Ten,
SANYATI ZIMBABWE-MARCH 9-18, 2012
My trip to Zim has come and gone but, the impact from the trip will last forever. Once again I am amazed at the great grace of God. Every time I go to Africa, I find myself falling more and more in love with this beautiful continent and the amazing people that live there. The few days I was there was not enough to scratch the surface on the work that needs to be done there, but I am grateful for the opportunity and hopefully will one day return for a longer stay.
For those of you who supported me and the team with your giving, praying and words of encouragement....
Thank You!!!
Sanyati Hospital and the Sanyati Baptist High School are such a thriving part of that community. It is vital that the repairs on the hospital are completed so that the needs, both physical and spiritual, of the people can be met there.
If you want to find out more about Sanyati.
I took this video during my trip to Zambia in August 2010.
